Amr Ramadan, Chair of Delegation Egyptian said Egypt is adopting "Islamic perspective" on gay rights, describes homosexuality as "propagated by the West"

Homophobia

Any decisions taken by the UN on matters of homosexuality and gay rights are “irrelevant and will not change the international reality”, the Egyptian delegate in the United Nations, Amr Ramadan, said on Thursday, commenting on the Human Rights Council’s decision to appoint an independent expert on protection against violence and discrimination related to sexual orientation and gender identity, as reported by state media, dailynewsegypt.com.

Egypt are on of many Islamic countries that does not know the meaning of human rights for any human, so that they don’t care about LGBT rights is not a surprise – since they never has cared for any human rights – so you can call the Ramadan’s rhetoric :  “propaganda by the Islamic states” that hates human rights.
