Today, a new poll revealed Indiana Governor Mike Pence’s deeply damaged political reputation continues to decline over two months after signing into law an anti-LGBT “religious refusal” bill – a law that put LGBT Hoosiers at risk of discrimination, causing an overwhelming outcry from fair-minded people and businesses demanding the bill be fixed.

Today, Republican North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory vetoed SB 2 – an unnecessary bill that would have sent the wrong message about the state by allowing “magistrates, assistant registers of deeds, and deputy registers of deeds to recuse themselves from performing duties related to marriage ceremonies due to sincerely held religious objections.”
Sen. Ted Cruz – a consistent opponent of marriage equality at every turn – is now apparently lashing out at having to answer questions about why he has chosen to make anti-LGBT positions his political calling card. The Texas Tribune reported that when asked about marriage equality, Cruz accused progressives and the media of being “obsessed with sex.”
Today, at a hearing of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice, Liberty University Dean and Professor of Law Mathew Staver submitted prepared testimony which included a profoundly inaccurate anti-LGBT rant.
