The popular dating advice site, LesbianLoveNow.com, debuts an exclusive series of lesbian videos, titled, “Dear Katie,” to answer important mailbag questions from young lesbians.
Kaylee Larson, 19, owner of Lesbian Love Now, hired her long-time friend, Katie Penoli, also 19, to produce and star in the video series. Penoli will tackle hot-topics such as: coming out of the closet, dating dos and don’ts, what lesbian movies to watch, kissing ideas, and more.
Fresh instalments of Dear Katie are planned to be added on a bi-monthly basis. Video segments will typically last between 2 to 3 minutes and will address one viewer question per segment.
When asked why Penoli was the perfect candidate for this job, Larson says, “Katie is passionate about this type of work – she’s working hard toward a degree in psychology with an aspiration to professionally counsel girls struggling with their sexual identity.”
She jokes, “It also helps that Kate’s a lesbian. She’s already got one leg up!”
Judging by Penoli’s coming-out story and her girl-next-door appearance, she is sure to capture the attention of many young like-minded women, if not their hearts, who are looking for a role model to connect with in the lesbian community.
Penoli says of being a potential role model, “That’s a relative term best left up to the opinions of the viewers. I’m just grateful to be able to share my thoughts and feelings with others who are in need of help.”
