We know that "Glee" would pick up a massive score of nominations on Tuesday, but who would have thought it would have snagged 19 of them? One of the biggest surprises that came during the whole announcement was the realisation that Chris Colfer was getting a Best Supporting Actor nod for his take on gay fashion-lover Kurt Hummel.

In an interview with E! Online, show director Paris Barclay says that this nod in particular brought a smile to his face:

“I wasn’t really excited until I heard that Chris Colfer got a nomination. I thought he might be overlooked, because it’s a part that I don’t know if people get how great he is.”
