Momentum Continues for Lame Duck DADT Repeal
Events of this week are continuing the momentum for Senate action on repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” law in the lame duck session, said the Human Rights Campaign, Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, Servicemembers United, the Center for American Progress Action Fund and Third Way. Last evening’s reaffirmation of the Senate leadership and the White House’s commitment to end DADT, along with this morning’s Senate press conference, are encouraging signs.

HRC to Sarah Palin: Two Days of Silence, Will You Speak Up?
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) – the America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organisation – for the second day called on former Republican Vice Presidential candidate and current reality TV show star Sarah Palin to come out against the kind of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment sadly typified by her 16-year-old daughter’s posting on Facebook.
