The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), America’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy and anti-defamation organisation, today joined the state chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Oklahoma Democratic Party and the Oklahoma chapter of the Council of American-Islamic Relations in calling for the resignation of Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern in light of her history of attacks on LGBT Americans and her suggestions on Wednesday that African Americans and women don’t ‘work as hard,’ while speaking on the floor of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
