
Former ACU Executive Director Christian Josi Joins GOProud’s Advisory Council
Saturday, GOProud, the only U.S national organisation of gay conservatives and their allies, announced that Christian Josi, former Executive Director of the American Conservative Union, is joining the organisation’s Advisory Council.
“Christian Josi is an important and well-respected voice in the conservative movement,” said Christopher Barron, Chairman of GOProud’s Board. “Our Advisory Council is truly becoming a who’s who of conservative movement, and we are incredibly lucky to be able to count Christian among the GOProud leadership team.”
“I’m honoured to join with my good friends and people I so admire on the GOProud Advisory Council,” said Christian Josi. “I believe very strongly that diversity in the center-right community equals strength in the center-right community, and that strength is essential as we wrestle with the massive challenges–the REAL problems–that face us both at home and abroad.”
Josi is the second ACU Executive Director to join GOProud’s Advisory Council and the third Director of CPAC. Josi joins Margaret Hoover, Grover Norquist, Andrew Breitbart, Liz Mair, Chuck Muth, and Lisa De Pasquale on the GOProud Advisory Council.
Christian Josi joined Dezenhall Resources as a Vice President in April of 2002, after serving three years as Executive Director of the American Conservative Union. At the ACU, he also served as Director of the ACU Foundation, Director of three Conservative Political Action Conferences and Treasurer of the ACU Political Action Committee.
Prior to joining ACU, Josi founded and ran a small consulting business specialising in fundraising and communications, serving political clients such as Vice President Dan Quayle, Rep. J.C. Watts, and Rep. Sue Kelly; As well as not-for-profit clients such as AmeriCares Foundation and The Institute For East-West Studies.
He has held the positions of Campaign Manager, Press Secretary and Finance Director for several Local, Statewide, and Federal campaigns.
He is the author of the 2000 book Hillary Rodham Clinton, and is an occasional columnist whose work has appeared in The Huffington Post, Washington Times, Daily Caller, United Press International (UPI), American Spectator, Raleigh News and Observer, and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.
Josi has appeared on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, ABC News, and numerous other TV, Radio and print outlets.
An avid arts enthusiast, Josi is an internationally known jazz vocalist, having recorded two albums and appeared on several others. He also serves as the U.S. Representative for the Institut Van Gogh, based in Auvers-sur-Oise, France.
