Don’t Ask, Can’t Tell Where the Jobs Are

Last Friday, the Labor Department reported that there was zero net job creation in August, far worse than the 68,000 net jobs that were expected to be added.

The unemployment rate remains at a staggering 9.1 percent. In addition, the July job growth number was dramatically revised downward.

In response, Jimmy LaSalvia, Executive Director of GOProud, the only national organization representing gay conservatives and their allies, issued the following statement:

“Today is another stark reminder of the abject failure of the Obama Presidency on the bread and butter issues that matter most to Americans – regardless of their sexual orientation. Gay people, like all other Americans, are living in the Obama economy too. While the gay left trumpets the feel-good-do-nothing accomplishments of this administration, average gay Americans are hurting as a result of this President’s failed economic approach.

“GOProud’s number one goal between now and November of 2012 is to make sure that Barack Obama is defeated. Americans, gay or straight, deserve a President who can grown our economy and create jobs, and by any objective standard this President has failed miserably.”
