
HRC 16th Annual National Dinner October 6th at Washington Convention Center
The Human Rights Campaign, America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organisation, today announced the initial lineup for its 16th Annual National Dinner to be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Washington, D.C.
The program will include: Newark, New Jersey Mayor and rising Democratic star Cory A. Booker will be the featured speaker. The NAACP and its President Ben Jealous will receive the National Equality Award. The Ally for Equality Award will go to Academy Award-winning actress Sally Field. There will also be a performance by the stars of Cirque du Soleil. Additional event details will be made public as the date nears.
More than 3,000 people are expected to attend the event held in the Washington Convention Center, which is chaired by Alex Ernst & Ashley Smith.
