Partnerships from 35 jurisdictions are to be recognized in Ireland.
The government decision by government to recognize the partnerships of same-sex couples from abroad could have a positive impact on our economy.
That is according to the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network – GLEN.
The Justice Minister has announced his decision to recognize same-sex couples who married in Denmark and the US State of Washington.
GLEN claims this recognition can be a factor in boosting direct foreign investment here.
It says this sends positive signals to multinationals who are considering investing in Ireland.
