In his new film, the indie drama Kill Your Darlings, Daniel Radcliffe plays beat poet Allen Ginsberg opposite actor Dane Dehaan as his lover Lucien Carr, which included a scene in which the two actors have sex.
Aside from the fact that the film, which boasts a supporting cast featuring Michael C. Hall, Jack Huston and future Avengers: Age Of Ultron star Elizabeth Olsen, is an exquisitely shot drama/mystery, the media hype surrounding the film has been built on that single scene of sexuality that encompasses a few minutes in the story.
While speaking to BBC One, DeHaan and Radcliffe responded to the frenzy with which the media has reacted to the scene in question, and Radcliffe doesn’t mince words at all. In fact, he flatly accuses the media of blatant homophobia. Have a look:
