Supergravity Pictures has acquired rights to award-winning Australian documentary “Gayby Baby,” a film about children of gay parents, which will have a limited one-month run in theatres around the world before launching on digital.
The release is in partnership with Heard Well, the music label co-founded by YouTube star Connor Franta, which helped curate music for the film.
Supergravity, a startup studio formed in 2014, plans event screenings of “Gayby Baby” in more than 50 cities in the U.S. and elsewhere starting April 1. The film will be released on digital video services on May 1, International Family Equality Day.
