
Princess Mary of Denmark speaks out in favour of gay and trans rights
Australian-born Crown Princess Mary of Denmark delivers the opening address at the European IDAHO forum, calling for "a life of dignity for all".
Princess Mary of Denmark has delivered the opening address at the European IDAHO (International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia) Forum in Copenhagen on Tuesday.
The Australian-born crown princess welcomed European ministers, government representatives, and advocacy groups to the three-day conference on LGBTQI rights, now in its fourth year, and showed her continued support for the rights of same sex-attracted and gender diverse people.
“We must be united in the fight against discrimination [in the hopes of] a life of dignity for all,” she said, SBS.com.au reports.
