Manchester Pride’s Tram Trax USA Is Back
Could this be Manchester’s best tram journey? Passengers can swap Eccles cakes for Boston cream pies and football for the Red Sox by riding the tram from Chorlton to Manchester Airport.
Ahead of Manchester Pride’s The Big Weekend, Tram Trax USA will return as 60 guests get the ride of their lives. On Thursday 11 August guests will be treated to a live gig, fizz reception at Manchester Airport and one lucky pair of passengers will win tickets to take them to Boston Massachusetts the very next morning.
Manchester Pride, Metrolink, Manchester Airport and Thomas Cook Airlines have partnered for a second year running to host this unique evening of entertainment and raise funds for the charity.
The Tram Trax USA boarding pass allows access to the exclusive tram, departing from Chorlton at 7.30pm, allowing time for a quick welcome beverage at the Jam Inn and live entertainment all the way to Manchester Airport.
Ticket holders can expect a welcome reception upon arrival at the airport with light refreshments before the announcement of the lucky winning passenger is made. Airport check in staff will scan tickets to reveal the owner of the winning ticket, before being whisked home to pack for the incredible weekend trip, departing the morning after!
Tickets for Tram Trax USA are priced at £10 (including booking fee) and will be available on a first come first served basis. The hugely successful fundraiser is set to sellout in record time so tickets are limited to 2 per booking.
The prize includes a long weekend in Boston Massachusetts leaving on Friday 12 August 2016, returning on Monday 15 August 2016 for two people courtesy of Thomas Cook Airlines and Manchester Airport.
