In the wake of the likely failure of the plebiscite bill, a group of 68 priests and church leaders across Australia have signed a petition urging the Archbishop of Sydney to allow “free and open debate” about same-sex marriage within his church.

New Israeli police chief rabbi opposed to renting apartments to homosexuals
Rabbi Rami Brachyahu, who came under fire after a July Ynet report revealed that he had issued a ruling in a weekly pamphlet that it was prohibited for anyone in the settlement to let an apartment to homosexuals, has been appointed as chief rabbi of the Israeli Police Force.

It’s official – France adopts a new legal gender recognition procedure!
The French parliament has voted to introduce a legal gender recognition procedure that is free from sterilisation and medicalisation. The National Assembly met in a plenary session on Wednesday 12 October to debate and vote on the 21st century justice law (La loi sur la justice au XX1eme siècle), which included provisions relating to legal gender recognition.
