
Sweden's first LGBTQ race is held at the Royal Djurgården in Stockholm in conjunction with Stockholm Pride and is led by the drag queen artist Miss Inga and the media profile Tilde Fröling.

Run For Pride – Sweden’s first LGBTQ-race!
Stockholm Pride is approaching fast and Stockholm Pride Week opens with a colourful race on July 30, 2017. The start of the race takes place at the Royal Djurgården and parts of the surplus will go to the Swedish Rainbow Fund (Regnbågsfonden), which helps LGBTQ people in other countries that are being persecuted and harassed by government, police and religious institutions.
– We are look forward to welcoming all participants who not only improve their health, but also help affected HBTQ people, “says Tilde Fröling and Miss Inga to MySoCalledGayLife.co.uk, who performs as conferences and DJs at the Maritime Museum (Sjöhistoriska museet) where the race starts.
The race is organised by Strong Media Group AB and co-organiser of the event is Open Action, Snipers IF, Stockholm Frontrunners IF and the race is even approved by the Swedish Athletics Association (Svenska Friidrottsförbundet).
There are only 400 spots available and the distance is five kilometres. The registration fee is SEK 325 per person and all participants receive a t-shirt by Run for Pride sponsor Björn Borg.
– We are hoping for a nice and family oriented event, and everyone will get a medal that manage to run these 5 kilometres and pass the finish line, ” said Janne Siponen, with the glimpse of the eye who is the initiator of the race.
When: Sunday July 30th, start at 12.00 am (local time).
