Iraqi actor Karar Noshi tortured and murdered for ‘looking gay’
An actor in Iraq has reportedly been kidnapped and murdered for 'looking gay.'
Karar Noshi, who studied at Baghdad University’s College of Fine Arts, had been dubbed the “Beauty King” of his country with his distinctive long, blonde hair.
However it is now reported that he has been murdered, his body dumped on the street in central Baghdad. Kurdistan 24 claims he was kidnapped before being stabbed and tortured by his abductors.
His family have confirmed his death, while prominent U.S-based activist Faisal Al Mutar has commented on the news on Facebook, blaming Shia extremists for the atrocity and claiming they accused him of being gay.
MySoCalledGayLife.co.uk calls it a hate crime – whatever Karar Noshi sexual orientation was, in any case this is done in the name of hate. Hate and murder, is the biggest sin of all in any religion.
