For 6 Music’s Loud and Proud, part of the BBC’s Gay Britannia season, Tom Ravenscroft has a guest mix from SHYBOI.

SHYBOI, aka Yulan Grant, is a Jamaican born DJ and multidisciplinary artist who is also part of New York City-based queer collective, KUNQ. Expressions of queerness are integral to her work and the KUNQ collective has given Grant an opportunity to join forces with other artists, all of whom share an unrestricted approach to genre, format and sound quality.

6 Music’s Loud and Proud is part of Gay Britannia, a season of programming across BBC Radio and television, which marks the 50th anniversary of The Sexual Offences Act 1967.
