Labour confirmed it is investigating comments he made in 2002 and 2004, alongside allegations that he made “misogynistic” remarks just seven months ago.
Shadow chancellor John McDonnell branded the earlier remarks “unacceptable” tonight as both the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives called for the whip to be removed.
