In Denmark, young girls from the age of 12 have been offered a free vaccine against HPV virus (Human Papillovirus) since 2009. The vaccine, which among other things can prevent cervical cancer, also has a number of health benefits for boys.
Therefore, from next year, the HPV vaccine will also be offered to boys at the age of 12 if it is up to the current government. If the current proposal are approved, it is planned that it should apply to boys who are 12 years old on July 1, 2019 or subsequently to be vaccinated against HPV.
