An important speech tube
Gunvor Wibroe, are for the first time in charge of the prize committee, handed over the prize to Sabaah’s leader, Laeth Shir Ali. In his motivational speech, Wibroe, among other things, motivated giving the award with the following words:
You are working on so many levels, and your results speak for themselves. Over the years, Sabaah has made a world difference for hundreds of people. You are an important voice and speaker for LGBTQ + people among ethnic minorities. You are important to all of us!
Laeth Shir Ali states the following:
Receiving of the prize is first and foremost a recognition that demonstrates our work for all those who do not know us yet. The recognition can not be measured in crowns and pennies. We are of course also fond of crowns and pennies, as they allow us to broaden our efforts geographically and we can endorse the quality assurance of our initiatives.

Sabaah was selected among 120 candidates, which this year was set for the Tine Bryld Award. The prize committee consists in addition to Gunvor Wibroe of Michael Christiansen, Søren Thide, Lea Bryld, Ida Koch, Jørgen Illum Frichke and Erik Valeur.
