Spectator hit with fine after homophobic abuse during Aston Villa vs Leicester City match
The incident occurred during the Premier League clash at Villa Park in December.
Steve Carstairs, 44, admitted to shouting homophobic slurs during the Midlands derby on December 5.
The 44-year-old was in the away end when he shouted the abuse after Villa had scored their second goal, as Leicester went on to fall to a 2-1 defeat.
A West Midlands police officer who heard the offensive abuse, instigated his arrest leicestermercury.co.uk reports.
According to leicestermercury.co.uk, Carstairs was fined £369 for committing the offence and shouting homophobic abuse.
The fine had been increased by 25 per cent for committing a hate crime, with £135 being from costs and £34 being a victim subcharge.
