Daddy Squad returns with «We’re So Lovely» – a HiNRG disco-charged monster featuring Italian disco bears Hard Ton. Together they have created an anthem of queer energy and joy, celebrating the LGBTQ+ scene with all its diversity, in a totally positive and inclusive way.

«I came up with some initial ideas, and we had the ‘We’re So Lovely’ refrain, and Hard Ton took it and ran with it. They totally understood the idea of it being a song of celebration. The lyrics tell people not to feel sorry, don’t bring flowers, just join us in the party. It’s not hedonistic, it’s just a celebration» – says Daddy Squad. to me

Drawing on influences such as Sylvester and Patrick Cowley with a mix of modern production and classic Italo Disco (produced in Daddy Squad’s analogue studio) “We’re So Lovely” is a modern day «We Are Family» – for a Euphoria generation. And the video is set to push that idea even further, with a diverse cast of dancers bursting with queer energy. The package comes complete with a remix by the prince of Italo Disco – David Jackson (previously remixed Jessie Ware and Pet Shop Boys), and Panthera Krause. And then, to top it off, Hard Ton themselves turn out a 80’s mashup of the track which is set to snap heads.

Hard Ton have a huge reputation in the queer scene, having played all over the world, and collaborated with a host of artists over the years including ABSOLUTE, Demitri from Paris, and appearing on Permanent Vacation, Toy Tonics, and Compost Disco records amongst many others.

The single comes on the back of Daddy Squad’s previous releases featuring Dita Von Teese, Violet Chachki, with remixes by Lauer and support on BBC Radio 1 Pete Tong, KissFM with Gorgon City, and many more. Daddy Squad has his path set on the dance floor takeover.
