Bury Pride is back, and promises to be bigger and better than in any previous year.

A day of music and entertainment has been lined up for Saturday 30 April at the Castle Armoury Drill Hall in Bury town centre, from 10am to 6pm.

You need to ticket to get in – but the good news is that tickets are free!

The event will feature more than 30 stalls from local charities including the Bury LGBTQI+ forum, LGBT Foundation, as well as Rainbow merchandise and glitter.

Timetable:

  • 10am to 12.30pm – performances from Kaya Pyzer, Vinnie Nicholls-Lee and the Gay Gordons.
  • 1pm – Join the Walking Rainbow parade (sponsored by Business Lodge Bury), taking a route to The Rock shopping centre, past the Mill Gate, through Bury Market and Kay Gardens, past Bury Art Museum, up Silver Street and back to the Drill Hall.
  • 2pm to 5.30pm – Performances on the Joshua Wilson and Dawn Fidler Main Stage from Hariana Grande, Be-Beyonce and Kaylie as Taylor Swift, all compered by resident drag queen the fabulous Vivienne Lynsey and BBC Radio Manchester’s Jsky.
  • 12.30pm to 6pm – performances from the Stage of Bridget with Aunty Ginger, Viola Viagra, Tess, Kobrah, Actavia Estee and Scarlet Siren followed by the House of Bridget Kardi Lip Sync Competition from 6pm, plus after party.
