Dafne and the Rest were initially HBO Max originals, but when the low-cost television company Discovery happened, they sold some of their shows to Paramount Plus, now SkyShowtime.

Abril Zamora developed, wrote, directed, and starred in the HBO Max series Dafne and the Rest (Spanish title: Todo lo otro; lit). It is one of the first Spanish original titles in the HBO Max repertoire, and it was released in Europe on October 26, 2021.

After the low-cost television company Discovery merged with Warner Media, now Warner Bros. Discovery owned by AT&T., they got rid of none English content they (Discovery) thought was not low-cost enough by selling it to then Paramount + (today called SkyShowtime outside UK markets).

A group of thirtysomething who are stuck in lives that aren’t what they expected struggle to move on and find their place in Madrid, Spain.

This is the story of a Spanish transgender woman in her late 30s who has recently transitioned and is in the midst of a split with her lover. It’s the story of her path to finding love while working a monotonous low-paying job and dealing with life’s basic difficulties.
