The notoriously conservative Anglican Diocese of Sydney will no longer need school administrators to declare their support for opposite-sex marriage. Following an outcry from parents and school leaders, the diocese has decided to remove the contentious marriage clause.

The Diocese of Sydney, which is staunchly opposed to same-sex marriage, oversees a number of opulent private schools in the Sydney area.

The diocese adopted a marital provision as a requirement of employment for school board members and principals in 2019, qnews.com.au reprots.
