
According to the Delhi High Court, over 100 bathrooms have been built in the city for transgender people
The court recognises the authorities''substantial progress' and says it will issue an order on the petition.
On Monday, the city administration informed the Delhi High Court that over 100 bathrooms have been installed in the capital for the exclusive use of transgender people.
«A total of 102 such toilets have been built and 194 more are under construction», counsel for the Delhi Social Welfare Department told a Bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Narula. Efforts are being made and further action will be taken expeditiously, the counsel added, hehindu.com reports.
