According to a research by the LGBTQ advocacy group KAOS GL, nine out of ten LGBTQ people in Turkey experience cyberviolence on a regular basis.

In association with the Association for Progressive Communications (APC) based in South Africa , the report was developed using data from a poll of 305 participants and in-depth interviews with 10 individuals.

The survey concluded that there is a substantially higher chance of being targeted when it comes to the LGBTQ community by citing earlier studies on digital violence in the general population, which revealed that one in five persons in Turkey was a victim of it, stockholmcf.org reports.
