Comedian and TV host Joe Lycett will headline the main stage at National Student Pride on Saturday, February 24th.

During his conversation with Suzi Ruffell, Lycett will delve into his life and career in an interview in collaboration with Attitude Magazine at National Student Pride.

National Student Pride is the UK’s biggest LGBTQ+ student event, organised by students, for students. Student Pride is coming back to London on 23-25th February 2024 to unite over 2,000 attendees for a weekend filled with parties, panels, an LGBTQ+ careers fair, and much more.

On the main stage, Student Pride will feature RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s Tomara Thomas and Cara Melle, along with «Queer Question Time» hosted by LBC’s Natasha Devon, addressing important issues for LGBTQ+ students. Additionally, there will be a discussion on LGBTQ+ TV and Film, headlined by Russell T Davies. The main stage will be hosted by Tia Kofi and Charlie Craggs. Free daytime tickets, £10 weekend wristbands, and Sunday Drag Brunch bolt-on tickets can be acquired at studentpride.co.uk/tickets.

Mainstage headliner, Joe Lycett, is a familiar face in both live performances and television, having undertaken numerous headline tours and the live entertainment show Late Night Lycett, which has been commissioned for a second series set to air in 2024. Not your average performer, Joe Lycett is renowned for his politically charged viral PR stunts, such as confronting politicians, challenging water companies, and staging a faux shredding of £10,000 in protest of David Beckham’s involvement with the World Cup host Qatar. In 2020, Joe Lycett legally changed his name to Hugo Boss in protest of the fashion brand’s treatment of small businesses that used «boss» in their names. National Student Pride is thrilled to explore Joe Lycett’s life and career in this exclusive interview.
