
Two men facing charges after Vancouver ‘gay bashing’

Vancouver police have recommended assault charges against two men in an alleged “gay bashing” attack on a 21-year-old man near the Tinseltown Mall Oct. 8.
The man was punched in the jaw outside the McDonald’s at Abbott and West Pender Street at about 3 a.m.
A 22-year-old Port Moody man and a 20-year-old from Fort St. John were arrested, and have been released on promises to appear in court.
“Crown counsel is now considering whether to lay charges,” said Vancouver police spokesman Const. Lindsey Houghton to the Province.
