Emeli Sandé to give first in-person interview since coming out National Student Pride
As an organisation made by students, for students, we are delighted to be the first staple UK Pride event to be returning to an in-person format for 2022.
At National Student Pride live event on Saturday 9th April, BRIT award-winning artist Emeli Sandé will be headlining with an interview about her life, career, and recent journey with her own sexuality.
Last week, Emeli Sandé announced she is in a happy long-term relationship with a woman, stating she felt «a huge weight has been lifted» from her now she has come out as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
On Twitter, she wrote: «It’s taken me years to find the strength to be myself…I’ve struggled for a long time to accept myself as I am».
«I’m so lucky to have found my soulmate Yoana, she’s such an extraordinary woman!».
National Student Pride full daytime festival is FREE for students and recent graduates, and the main stage will be live streamed across our social media, see: youtube.com/studentpride
