While covering a pro-LGBTQ memorial service for a woman killed in northern Israel on Saturday, a television reporter was assaulted.

At a crossroads close to the Druze hamlet of Yarka, a memorial service was held in honour of Sarit Ahmad (18), who was shot and killed on Friday in an incident that police believe was motivated by her sexual orientation. She was the 102nd Arab person to die since the year 2023 began, making her the 99th victim, timesofisrael.com reports.
