The Anglican Diocese of Sydney has backed down on the marriage clause
The notoriously conservative Anglican Diocese of Sydney will no longer need school administrators to declare their support for opposite-sex marriage. Following an outcry from parents and school leaders, the diocese has decided to remove the contentious marriage clause.
The Diocese of Sydney, which is staunchly opposed to same-sex marriage, oversees a number of opulent private schools in the Sydney area.
