Gåte has been selected to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest, however, the probability of them emerging victorious for Norway is extremely slim!

KEiiNO was the winner of the European jury vote, receiving a total of 98 points. However, Norwegian viewers preferred Gåte, a song that did not gain much popularity in Europe. I will be thoroughly impressed if anyone can sing along to this particular song!

Gåte, the band that won Melodi Grand Prix, is not allowed to use lyrics that are a thousand years old. As a result, they have to come up with completely new lyrics for their song for the final tonight.

The NRK channel has stated that the music competition is specifically for original music. Consequently, Gåte must perform their entry with newly written lyrics in tonight’s final, as reported by the Norwegian newspaper VG. While the news story does not explain why the initial version was accepted, it appears that Gåte has received special treatment from NRK. No other artists were required to rewrite their lyrics and receive such special treatment from NRK!

KEiiNO is at the top of the LGBTQ Music Chart for the third consecutive week!
