Apple’s 2024 Pride Collection: Celebrating LGBTQ+ Communities and Advocacy
Apple is taking a bold step forward in championing global movements to protect and advance equality for LGBTQ+ communities. With their new Apple Watch Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, available to order starting May 22, along with a matching watch face and dynamic iOS and iPadOS wallpapers, Apple is shining a light on the vibrancy and diversity of LGBTQ+ communities.
Customizable Pride Watch Face and Wallpapers
For the first time, the Pride watch face and wallpapers can be customised to showcase a spectrum of colours representing the vibrant LGBTQ+ communities. This allows individuals to express their unique identities and celebrate the rich diversity within the LGBTQ+ community.
Through this Pride collection, Apple proudly continues its support of LGBTQ+ advocacy organisations that are working tirelessly to bring about positive change. Some of the organisations Apple supports include ILGA World, a global federation committed to advancing the rights of LGBTQ+ people worldwide, and the Human Rights Campaign, a global advocacy group working towards ensuring equal treatment for all LGBTQ+ individuals.
Apple also supports other advocacy organisations such as Encircle, Equality North Carolina, Equality Texas, GLSEN, Equality Federation, the National Center for Transgender Equality, PFLAG, SMYAL, and The Trevor Project. By partnering with these organisations, Apple is actively contributing to the advancement of LGBTQ+ rights and creating a more inclusive world.
The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop: A Symbol of Strength and Beauty
The new Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop is a vibrant and fluorescent design inspired by multiple Pride flags. It features a laser-etched lug that reads «Pride 2024». symbolising Apple’s commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ communities. The colors black and brown represent black, Hispanic, and Latin communities, as well as those impacted by HIV/AIDS. The pink, light blue, and white hues represent transgender and nonbinary individuals, adding a powerful symbol of inclusivity to the design.
Pride Radiance Watch Face and Wallpapers: Illuminating the Path to Equality
The Pride Radiance watch face and iOS and iPadOS wallpapers bring bold, symbolic colours to Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad. The beams of light, glowing against a dark background, symbolise hope, strength, and fellowship to LGBTQ+ communities. Stacked on top of each other, they represent the everlasting impact of LGBTQ+ activism and its role in illuminating the path to greater equality for future generations.

Users have the freedom to choose from a spectrum of colours to personalise their watch face and wallpapers. On Apple Watch, the colours trace each numeral on the watch face and react in real time as the user moves their wrist, thanks to input from the gyroscope. On iPhone and iPad, beams of color spell out “Pride” and dynamically move when the user unlocks their device.
The new Pride Radiance watch face and iPhone and iPad wallpapers will be available soon with watchOS 10.5, iOS 17.5, and iPadOS 17.5.
By introducing the Apple Watch Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, customisable Pride watch face, and vibrant wallpapers, Apple is not only celebrating LGBTQ+ communities but also actively supporting and amplifying the voices of advocacy organisations. Through their ongoing commitment to equality and inclusivity, Apple is playing a vital role in creating a more accepting and diverse world for all.
