With the presentation of the All Children—All Families (ACAF) seal of recognition to the Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organisation, yesterday launched a new “50 state strategy,” with the goal of securing at least one ACAF-recognised adoption agency dedicated to working with LGBT families in every state.
HRC Foundation first LGBT organisation to be recognised by international adoption organisation
For its work in expanding the pool of highly qualified families for children in need of a loving and forever home, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s “All Children – All Families” (ACAF) initiative, will receive the Corporate Award for Special Achievement in Adoption by the North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) at the organisation’s 37th Annual conference in Denver on August 6, 2011.
