The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the America’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy and anti-defamation organisation, called for disciplinary action after Atlanta Braves Pitching Coach Roger McDowell issued an apology regarding allegations that he directed anti-gay slurs at a group of male fans and made violent threats before the Braves played the San Francisco Giants over the weekend. The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), the America’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy and anti-defamation organisation, today responded to an announcement by the Atlanta Braves that pitching coach Roger McDowell will be put on administrative leave while the league investigates allegations that he directed anti-gay comments and directed violent threats at fans during a recent game.
