The person accused of entering a gay nightclub in the U.S. and opening fire with a rifle, killing five people and injuring 17, has been charged with 305 criminal counts, including hate crimes and murder.
18 were injured in the midnight attack, police said, adding that the suspected shooter had been apprehended and hospitalised.
