National Coming Out Day report finds openly LGBT youth happier
Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth who are out to their immediate family or at school report higher levels of happiness, optimism, acceptance and support, according to a new report on LGBT youth released today, National Coming Out Day (NCOD) by the Human Rights Campaign – the America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organisation.

With the presentation of the All Children—All Families (ACAF) seal of recognition to the Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organisation, yesterday launched a new “50 state strategy,” with the goal of securing at least one ACAF-recognised adoption agency dedicated to working with LGBT families in every state.
