HRC Releases Finalized Congressional Scorecard
The Human Rights Campaign today released an updated version of its Congressional Scorecard for the 111th Congress including votes on “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal near the close of the session.
HRC supports state groups in Delaware and Tennessee
The Human Rights Campaign, America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organisation, and the Tennessee Equality Project (TEP) are pleased to announce a renewed partnership to work towards equality in Tennessee. HRC has provided a grant of $10,000 to TEP and will work closely with the organisation to defeat negative legislation at the state level and pass pro-equality municipal measures.
HRC Foundation Releases Comprehensive State-By-State Legislative Report
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, today released a comprehensive state-by-state report detailing LGBT-related legislation in 2010 and an outlook for 2011. The report indicates that the majority of pro-LGBT legislation came in the form of anti-bullying legislation. The report also details expectations for 2011 with an expectation of an increase in LGBT-related legislation in the year ahead.

Today the Human Rights Campaign – the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization – announced its endorsement of Rahm Emanuel for Mayor of Chicago. The former White House Chief of Staff and member of Congress representing Chicago’s northwest side has a consistent record of support for LGBT Americans and was instrumental in enacting hospital visitation rights for same-sex couples nationwide.
HRC Condemns SNL’s Anti-Transgender Segment, Calls on NBC to Remove Skit from NBC Platforms

The skit, titled ‘Estro-Maxxx,’ blatantly mocked transgender people, minimizing the challenges they face.
