HRC’s Call It Out Campaign Calls on Candidates to Disavow Dangerous “Ex-Gay” Therapies
The Human Rights Campaign – America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organisation – is calling on the GOP candidates for President to disavow the dangerous “ex-gay” or “reparative” therapies endorsed by Michele Bachmann and her husband Marcus.
HRC Statement on DADT Injunction
Today a panel of judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit re-instituted an injunction barring the military from enforcing the ban on openly lesbian, gay and bisexual service members. The court concluded that, with “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal being implemented and certification of the new policy forthcoming, the government would not be burdened by ceasing enforcement at this time.

HRC Applauds Connecticut Legislature for Passing Transgender Anti-discrimination Protections
The Human Rights Campaign, America’s largest LGBT civil rights organisation, Saturday congratulated the Connecticut Legislature for passing HB 6599: An Act Concerning Discrimination by a vote of 20-16 in the state senate, following a 77-62 vote in the house last month. The bill now moves to Governor Dan Malloy’s desk for his signature – which he has indicated he will do.
Applauds Introduction of Legislation to Address Unfair Taxation of Health Benefits
