MEPs issue statement on LIBE Committee vote on EU’s LGBTIQ Equality Strategy 2020–2025
On Tuesday, 23 January, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) approved—with 46 votes in favour and 8 against—the draft report on the implementation of the European Union’s LGBTIQ Equality Strategy for the 2020–2025 period, in which MEPs call for a new LGBTIQ strategy 2026-2031 to be presented by the Commision.
