EU LGBTI member organisations call on Hungary to drop article 33
ILGA-Europe and Transgender Europe, the two largest networks of LGBTI and trans organisations in Europe and Central Asia, representing over 800 organisations and groups across the region collectively, are calling on the Hungarian Parliament and the Justice Committee of the Parliament to drop Article 33 of a legislative omnibus bill, which would deny access to legal gender recognition in the country.
Transgender Health Care Victory!
Transgender Law Center celebrated a unanimous vote today by the San Francisco Health Commission, the governing and policy-making body of the Department of Public Health, to implement the recommendations set forth in a resolution authored by Supervisor Scott Wiener and passed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors last month which would remove transgender exclusions from the Healthy San Francisco (Healthy SF) health access program.

Governor Brown Signs Bill Streamlining Process for Transgender Californians to Obtain an Updated Birth Certificate
Governor Jerry Brown signed into law yesterday Assembly Bill 433, the Vital Statistics Modernization Act, which streamlines the process for Californians to obtain and update birth certificates. The bill was authored by Assemblymember Bonnie Lowenthal (D-Long Beach) and sponsored by the Transgender Law Center and Equality California.
