After news that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC KP) rescinded an award given to Viktor Pylypenko, head of the LGBT+ Military association, due to his sexual orientation, Ukrainians started an online campaign denouncing awards from this church, as reported by Ukraine’s LGBT Military community on social media on 26 February 2024.
