£1,000 has been raised in aid of the Japanese Tsunami victims following a charity football match between Leftfooters FC and the cast of West End musical Wicked.

The match, held at Battersea Park in London, saw players from the capital’s gay side take on the West End musical team in a friendly last weekend.

Wicked started off the better of the teams and kept the lead throughout the competition with a victory win of 3-2, Pink Paper reports.
