City bars, venues, punters and a politician have all got behind a campaign to create the first Leeds gay quarter.

The Leeds lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, backed by Stuart Andrew MP (Pudsey), has formed a committee to pursue the right for recognition from Leeds City Council, Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
