International digital-first publisher Samhain Publishing® announced today several recent foreign rights sales for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender (GLBT) titles, and expects interest to remain strong as the company increases its international presence. Samhain Publishing will be attending the Frankfurt Book Fair Oct. 10-14 in Frankfurt, Germany, representing its more than 1500 titles with available foreign rights to fiction markets around the world.
Titles that Samhain Publishing has recently sold include:
Catch Me if You Can by L.B. Gregg to Japan (launch title)
Several titles from Ally Blue’s Bay City Paranormal series, including Twilight, Closer
, and An Inner Darkness
, to Germany, following the success of the first two titles in the series Without reservations by J.L. Langley to Germany
In addition, Samhain is currently finalizing deals to the Netherlands and Germany for five new titles. These titles and thousands of others can be found online at Samhain’s site, www.samhainpublishing.com.
According to Lindsey Faber, publisher, the recent increase in interest in GLBT stories by international markets continues the trend of favorable worldwide response to Samhain titles. “Over the past several months, international awareness and inquiries into Samhain titles with available foreign rights has increased dramatically. We are delighted to once again take part in the Frankfurt Book Fair, and look forward to meeting new publishers and strengthening our current relationships with industry partners.”
Once again this year, Samhain’s foreign rights meetings will be coordinated by USA book agent Books Crossing Borders. As in 2012, Samhain also plans to have a presence at the 2013 London Book Fair and Book Expo America over the next several months.
The Frankfurt Book Fair is a key marketplace for books, media, rights and licenses worldwide. More than 7,300 exhibitors from 100 countries, 299,000 visitors and over 9,000 journalists – including publishers, booksellers, agents, film producers and authors – take part in the fair each year.
