Some of Britain’s most hilarious female comedians are on the bill for a star-studded comedy extravaganza in aid of Stonewall.
The charity’s second Girls’ Night Out, supported by g3 magazine, will be staged at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre on 30 September, hosted by the award-winning comic Jen Brister.
Tickets are on sale now, and all proceeds will support Stonewall’s Education for All campaign, which helps schools tackle and prevent homophobic bullying.
Joining Jen to stoke the laughter are fellow award-winners Zoe Lyons, Leisa Rea and Hannah Gadsby, as well as TV regular Kerry Godliman, who stars in Channel 4’s sitcom Derek. Rosie Wilby, Francesca Martinez, Angela McEvoy and Suzi Ruffell will also be taking to the stage along with special guests.
Stonewall Director of Fundraising Catherine Bosworth said: ‘After last year’s hilarious comedy gala we can’t wait to see another brilliant night of fun and fundraising. Every penny raised during the evening will support gay young people who face bullying at school because of who they are. Girls’ Night Out is a fantastic way to have a great night while supporting a great cause.’
Tickets for Girls’ Night Out cost just £25 from www.thebloomsbury.com. More information is available at www.stonewall.org.uk/comedy
