HRC Urges Obama to Take Immediate Action for LGBT Ugandans
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organisation, sent a letter to President Barack Obama urging his administration to take immediate steps to hold the Ugandan government accountable for the enactment of state-sponsored homophobia and transphobia earlier this year.

Today, Slovak MPs from SMER (Social-Democrats) and KDH (Christian-Democrats) voted to define marriage as a ‘unique bond between a man and a woman’ in the Constitution. Ruling party SMER agreed to the demand of opposition party KDH in exchange of their support for a judicial reform.
