Transgender patients are not getting fast enough treatment
For children and young people that are now in line to receive consideration for gender change by the National treatment for transgender service at Oslo University Hospital. The hospital is the only one to treat, diagnosing and to operate transgender in Norway.
The transgender patient queue will probably only continue to increase, and we are already too few staff to provide all patients good enough treatment, says manager Ira Haraldsen at Psychosomatic Department at Oslo University Hospital, NRK.no.
Over the past five years the number of children seeking treatment more than doubled, the hospital writes on their websites.
